Fall For Me Blog Tour: Review + Giveaway

Sacrifice (Tate Chronicle #0.5)
Sacrifice is a 23,000 word prequel to Fall For Me. It tells the story of Grace and Seth, and what happened in that castle. It is meant to be read after Fall For Me, although it can be read first...

Seth’s heart is breaking. He knows his decision will hurt the one person he keeps breathing for, but he can’t take it anymore. He can’t be near Grace knowing she will always be just out of reach.

Grace is oblivious to Seth’s turmoil. She loves him unconditionally, but not in the way he wants. They both know that in Heaven physical love is forbidden, and to break the rules is to defy everything they’ve ever been taught.

When Grace and Seth are sent on a mission to save a young mother and her unborn child, Grace must face the fact that Seth won’t be returning home. She doesn’t understand Seth’s decision and hates him for it. But what neither of them realise is how big a part that single decision will play in shaping their entire future.

What would you sacrifice for the one you love?

Fall for Me (Tate Chronicles #1)
“Angels aren’t supposed to fall in love, especially with each other. But for the record, you were worth it.”

Grace Tate is a Protection Angel and Vampire Hunter, and she has always followed the rules. But some rules are made to be broken…

Until now the fight against evil has been simple, and falling in love was never part of the plan. So what happens when it’s beyond Grace’s control, and when she least expects it she falls for the wrong person?

All hell breaks loose, that’s what.

At Hopetown Valley High, not everything is as it seems, and the one person Grace thought was her enemy becomes her most important ally.

Blood will be shed, lives will be lost and friendships will be tested. It all comes down to one decision, and when Grace tries to save all those dear to her, she realises not everyone can be—or wants to be—saved.

Sacrifice Review:
First line:
Michael and I had been fighting for almost an hour. Cloud dust plumed into the air as my feet struck the floor. My patience with him was growing thin. He couldn't say anything that would change my mind. As far as I was concerned, he was wasting his time.

Last does an amazing job with descriptions in this short novella. This is one of my favorite lines from the book:
My heart was breaking into a thousand tiny pieces, and I was scared they would spill from my chest and scatter across the galaxy. Suddenly, I was nothing but a tiny speck in an enormous void of space, surrounded by sadness. (eARC p46)

I loved the character of Seth. He seemed like a sweet, caring guy in unfortunate circumstances. He's not allowed to fall in love. But he has done just that and so he decides to give up his life as an angel and his friendship with the woman he loves and become a fallen one.

Once Seth falls, Grace struggles to understand why he would abandon her. She hates him for leaving this life, for leaving her. He had everything he could possibly want, why leave? To take her mind off of him, she's sent on an indefinite mission, as a vampire hunter. She must protect her twin brother every generation and together they seek to destroy these evil creatures. But soon, Seth finds her and won't leave her alone. But she is still angry with him, and ignores him when he tries to talk to her.

This was a lovely novella! Fans of angel books will love it!

The stars twinkled above them as they raced through the castle. They were not permitted to stay long, only until their task was complete.

I felt like this book was slow moving at first, but once I got into, I loved it!!! Grace and her twin brother Archer discover that the vampires they hunt are hunting someone. And not just anyone, another vampire. They rush to find this girl to protect her and learn why she is hunted.

Along the way, Grace falls in love with a human boy, Josh, which we know is forbidden. But she decides that love is worth the fall. Literally.

I'll admit it, I was rooting for Seth throughout this whole book (probably because I read the novella first). I knew he wasn't really evil and I couldn't wait for Grace to find that out. Move out of the way, Josh, Seth is here. I wish his POV was included in this book. There were several times I would have loved to know what he was thinking!

The end was so unexpected! I can't wait to read Fight for Me!!!!
